Did you make a resolution?

Have you abandoned your New Year's Resolutions yet?  I didn't even really make any resolutions for this year.  I probably should eat better and move more, but not just for a couple weeks in January. I did add a couple things to my bucket list recently.  I have wanted to learn to knit for some time.  I've watched videos online and I even bought a book.  I still don't really get it.  The only people I know in real life that know how to knit live far away from me and it's not convenient for them to tell me what I'm doing wrong.  I have requested a book my local librarian (aka Mom) suggested.  She says she has had a couple patrons tell her that this was the book that did the trick for them.  This is the year I learn to knit.  Wish me luck!  If you have tips or information that may help, leave it in the comments!

This may be my knitting disaster...

Doesn't everyone need a pair of these?

I also want to learn calligraphy.  I love notebooks.  This is probably a strange thing to say, but it's true.  I walk past the stationary department I pick up the notebooks and decide which one I want to take home and I imagine the things I will write on all the pages.  Then I remember the other notebooks I have at home with all their dust covered blank pages and I sadly put the shiny new notebooks away and go home empty handed.  I would like to learn calligraphy this year and fill my notebooks with beautiful writing!  Maybe I'll put together a book of recipes to give as a gift.  Maybe I'll get on Pinterest and see what other people write in notebooks.  No matter what, I want to write things in beautiful writing, even if it's just my grocery list. Do you write anything down anymore?  In this day of electronic everything, we've made handwritten notes a thing of the past.

What is something you have always wanted to learn?
